Widows and caregivers economic empowerment

Under the program, widows and caregivers are trained on business skills before offering those grants (seed money) and/ or loans. Also; widows and caregivers; orphans and most vulnerable children/ youth, particularly those living under children-headed households are offered small loans and grants (seed money) for establishing backyard enterprises. Through this program Matumaini Mapya is currently running a micro-credit scheme [i.e. Matumaini Mapya Savings and credit cooperative society (SACCO)] with 3,059 members (i.e. 2,462 females and 597 males). This serves as the Organization’s economic/ financial wing for loans to small entrepreneurs’ backyard enterprises
